Tonight, Illinois bred three-year-old fillies, colts and geldings take center stage in the Cardinal and Violet Stakes which roll in races 2-5. The Late 0.50 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 7, it has a $30,000 guaranteed pool and will be my focus.

For a change, the driver with the most pictures was not Casey Leonard. Last night, pilot Tim Curtin steered home three winners to take top honors. There wasn't a trainer with more than one trip to the winner's circle.

1-Ridgeway Springs-Nice win in local debut, steps up but will respect chances for an encore.
4-Annas Lucky Star-Should be sitting on a big try in 3rd start off the bench, was caught too far back off the gate.

Race 8
1-Big Tyme Shooter-Back from HoP and in a good spot to snag a win.
2-Dune On Time-Looking for a better try and from this post could surprise at a square price.
4-Longlive Rocknroll-7/5 chalk had things his own way in last, should be in the hunt but will look to beat.
6-Pictonian Dazzle-2nd start for trainer, should be tighter and if gets an easy lead could be posing for a picture.

Race 9
1-Sports Cowboy-2nd place finishes in last 3, with this bunch best to not leave out, this field is camera shy.
2-Forsumoddreason-3rd place finish in a quicker mile than most others, will consider at 12-1 in the ML.
3-Fox Valley Brutus-Odds on favorite sprinted home in last after a soft 1st half, should be forwardly placed again.
7-Sports Creek-Will toss last from 8-hole in a slow-paced race, makes 3rd start on Lasix and should be a nice price.

Race 10
1-Cowgirl Too-Winner of 2 straight comes off a LT mark and steps up, could be ready for a 3-peat.
3-Mocking Robin-Very sharp and just missed at this level and looks like a major player tonight.
9-Ryans Mistress-Oosting takes a seat and that shouldn't hurt, if pace is hot this gal should be rolling late again.
