Tonight's headliner at the Meadowlands rolls in Race 7, a trot for 3-year-old colts and geldings with a $50,000 purse. The field is comprised of horses that were Hambletonian eligible. The 0.50 Pick 4 sequence starts in Race 8, it has a $50,000 guaranteed pool and will be my focus.

Saturday is Hambletonian Day and Xpressbet account holders will receive 10X Rewards Points on all Exacta and Trifecta bets at the Meadowlands.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 8

2-Santiago Style - On paper this is the winner, but not easy to trust as better efforts of late are on an off track.
3-Spirit Of Truth - Comes off a sick scratch, will hope ready and take a swing with Tetrick on a 15-1 shot from the inside.
5-Express Stride N - Often in the mix, steps up and will need best effort, but does fit with this crew.
6-Sams Triple Crown - Was used hard from 8-hole and faded, should get an easier 1st quarter and that could lead to a picture.
7-Acting Out - Steps up off a sharp win, now on big track and B. Miller should get a good early seat.

Race 9

2-Frankie Boy - Doesn't win often but is a one move horse, from this spot could get sucked around and pop at a square price.
7-Rockaholic - Makes 2nd Big M start and Tetrick steers again, holds a 1:52 mark here and will respect chances tonight.
9-Kandy Apple - Even effort in 1st local start but if moves forward off that effort, could surprise at long odds.

Race 10

5-Misslarose - Leaving the ML chalk #4 out, leaning to others and this gal comes off 2 sharp efforts in the slop.
6-Ataboy Hanover - Brings speed and has a win at Big M, will need a trip but should be in the hunt.
10-Gold Medal Swan - Post is a challenge but likes the track. D. Miller should have in striking range by the final turn.

Race 11

1-Always A Diamond - 0-19 this year but is 7/2 in the ML with D. Miller and may make the most of a soft spot.
3-Lone Wolf Terror - Gets post relief, a new pilot, plus drops to a better spot and should like the company.
