The best will be last in line in the late Pick 4 ticket at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, and the most serious challenges are in the first two races of the sequence.

The 13-race card is highlighted by the last two: the $100,000 Dr. Fager Stakes for 2-year-old colts and geldings and the $100,000 Desert Vixen for 2-year-old fillies. The Florida stars of tomorrow will bring their best in the six-furlong sprints, and they present some late relief after some serious spreading out in the first two in the sequence.

The lone single on this suggested ticket is in the final event as Capture Your Dream will be seriously troublesome if she runs back to her debut. The Mark Casse-trained daughter of Uncaptured was devasting in her curtain call and won her 4.5-furlong race by 10 lengths in 52 seconds. It’s a chore to win such a short race by such a large margin, and the additional ground likely won’t hurt anything. Capture Your Dream made her start for trainer Anna Varsi and was moved to the Casse barn. Since here May 13 start, she has several works, including a bullet.

The gentlemen’s co-feature presents a 3-5 morning line favorite in Fully Loaded, and he’s certainly worthy of that kind of attention off two wins in two starts, including a 7.5-length score in his most recent appearance. The Jose Pinchin-trained Two Step Salsa colt likely will be a force again, but he’s not alone in the talent category. Cajun Firecracker, a Cajun Breeze colt trained by Michael Yates, scored nicely by two lengths in his only start and has last two works have earned bullets.

Another solid rival comes in the form of Take Command, a Field Commission colt trained by Teresa Pompay. He ran off to an easy five-length score in :58 2-5 for 5.5 furlongs and has a couple of decent works since that July 4 triumph.
