Hawthorne Racecourse ties a ribbon around this weekend's harness action with an 11-race card. The 0.50 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 8, it has a $30,000 guaranteed pool and will be my focus.

The driver with the hottest hands at Hawthorne on Saturday was Kyle Wilfong with three trips to the winner's circle. Terry Leonard and Ronnie Roberts led conditioners with a pair of pictures.

Race 8

2-Lilac Laurey-Should be able to get a good early seat, could trip out and take a picture.

4-Frontier Ginger-Drops in for a tag and should like the company.

7-Wishin Iwas Rich-Has had excuses and dangerous with the right trip.

8-Isaac's Deal-Came home in 56.3 in the slop for a win, steps up but best to respect. 

Race 9

2-Fox Valley Lolo-Will toss last break at Spr from 10 post, looks like a major player tonight.

7-Fox Valley Torrrid-Stormed home in 55.4, ML chalk seeks 3rd straight picture. 

10-Yankee Joanie-At 9-1 in ML, may blast out and if can set a soft pace, chances for an upset go up. 

Race 10

1-Pleasures Chip-Loses Wilfong but adds Bates, draws well and tries Lasix for 2nd time at 6-1 in the ML.

4-Khalessi-Real Desire 2-year-old needs to mind manners but fits here, was staked at HoP.

5-Smack Dab Dolly-Lightly raced 3-year-old raced well from 8 hole in 1st Haw start, will respect chances.

7-Fox Valley Mojito-5/2 ML chalk has been off since 8/5, Leonard's choice should be tough if ready.

Race 11

1-Wimple's Dimple-Not one of my favorites, 0-17 and finds ways to come up short, but this is a soft bunch.

4-Ideal's Nicole-Leonard's back and that should help. 2nd chalk gets post relief and looks like the one to beat.
