SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - On Monday, the Pick 6 sequence went unsolved for the second consecutive day, leading to a carryover of $291,756 when racing resumes on Wednesday.
Monday's Pick 6 sequence began with 8-5 second-choice Celtic Chaos (No. 4) returning $5.30 in Race 4. Cloontia (No. 7, $14) rallied from off the pace to win Race 5, followed by Stolen Pistol (No. 3, $14.60) in Race 6. In Race 7, Long View Stables' Blue Belt, for trainer Rudy Rodriguez and jockey Junior Alvarado, blew up the sequence at odds of 50-1 returning $103.50 for a $2 win wager. In the $100,000 Better Talk Now, the day's featured stakes race, Rose's Vision (No. 5, $12.40) rallied late to win by a neck. Surge of Pride (No. 4, $9.40) took the finale in Race 9.
A consolation payout of $1,940 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners.
Wednesday's Pick 6 sequence will begin in Race 5 with a scheduled post time of 3:14 p.m. ET. The 10-race card has a first post time of 1 p.m.
