The Saturday afternoon program at the Red Mile is loaded with high caliber horses. The main event on the 11-race card comes in Race 8, an Open Pace with a $179,000 purse. That field is comprised of all-stars including McWicked, Lazarus N, and Donttellmeagain to only name a few. There is a total of nine stakes set to roll in the matinee. 

On Friday afternoon at the Red Mile driver Andrew McCarthy led the pilots with four wins. Trainers Tony Alagna, Ron Burke and Jimmy Takter led the conditioners with two wins each. 

The Early Pick 4 ticket at Mohawk on Friday misfired in the first two legs. I will look to rebound today in the Pick 4 which has a $10,000 guaranteed pool.

Race 7 
2-Air Force Hanover-In good form and won Lex debut in easy fashion, rates respect off that effort. 
4-De Los Cielos Deo-Will toss last from 9-hole in Metro, could be set for a strong try from this post. 
6-Captain Ahab-9/5 chalk didn't have a good time in Metro either and suffered 1st loss in 8 tries, watch out today. 

Race 8 
1-McWicked-Not sure how much the rail will help, but Sears should be able to find some cover and roll late. 
5-Lazarus N-If ready shouldn't have trouble getting on the engine but #10 may leave and #1 should be chasing. 

Race 9 
1-American Mercury-Tough trip in last and Sears steers again, thinking the journey will be much smoother. 
5-Proof-Odds-on favorite couldn't make-up ground into a soft pace, could be much better in 2nd try at Lex. 
7-Sugar Factory-Sweet Lou colt loves to compete and had a good try here last week, could surprise at nice odds. 

Race 10 
1-Band Stand-Will use Alagna-McNair price shot. Last trip was bad, should get out of the gate in better shape. 
6-Kissin In The Sand-9/5 chalk looks the part, has been great this year and is a major player again. 
7-Alexa's Power-If pace is hot and this gal finds a live cover flow, Tetrick will be gobbling up track in late going.
