The feature at Hoosier Park rolls in Race 13 an Invitational event with a $21,000 purse. The 0.50 Pick 4 sequence starts in Race 3 and has a $10,000 guaranteed pool, it will be my focus.
Last night at Hoosier the drivers with the hottest hands were Brandon Bates, Dale Hiteman, Mike Oosting and John De Long all with two wins. Trainers Mike Hollenbeck and Lewayne Miller led conditioners with two pictures.
Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.
Race 3
1-Wonder Bull-Has only taken 1 picture this year but Oosting should keep close and this is a spot to shine.
2-Mykonos-3-year-old is similar to #1 and Leonard can work a trip from here in a soft field.
5-Gunny Wilson-Here's a 6-yr-old who is facing younger and offers a square price, does fit with this crew.
7-Mr Gorgeous-Probably the best horse, but has been off since 10/11 maybe the rest will be a plus.
Race 4
3-Jims Perfect Ten-Even effort in last off a sick scratch, still best to respect and should be better tonight.
4-On Duty-Program chalk looks the part, will be well bet and the one to beat.
6-Rockin Speed-Has been chasing #4 for last couple of months, does have a win versus chalk, best to not overlook.
Race 5
1-Strong Playin King-Beat $15k claimers last month and drops into a good spot tonight.
6-Twin B Tk-ML chalk is looking for 7th win of year, this is a good level and field is not deep.
Race 6
4-Sadies Art-Gets a good post draw and is in form. Can handle this group and might be overlooked at the windows.
5-Vintage Grand-Winner of two straight should be in the mix at the wire once again.
8-Four Staces-Was racing well versus better and could win in first start off a claim for Bellamy barn.
0.50 Pick 4
1,2,5,7/3,4,6/1,6/4,5,8
Total Bet=$36
