Nov 2: Meadowlands Pick 4 Analysis

by Al Cimaglia

November 2, 2018

The Friday night feature at the Meadowlands rolls in Race 3, a Preferred Handicap with a $20,000 purse. The 0.50 Pick 4 sequence begins in Race 7, it has a $50,000 guaranteed pool and will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7

1-Delightfulmemphisn-Steps up but beware, last effort was sharp off a sick scratch, tough trip and in the slop.
5-Cracklin Rosie-Rosie fits and likes the track, using at 10-1 in the ML.
6-I'm Trigger Happy-Comes off a sick scratch but if ready should like the company, has faced tough foes.

Race 8

4-CC Big Boy Sam-Comes off 2 wins and has had a nice year, should be in the mix again despite stepping up.
5-Pumped Up Kicks-Improved in 1st start for new trainer and if upswing continues can pop at a nice price.
6-Itsnoproblemman-Made the most of live cover in last and in a spot to do the same in an open race.
9-Glass Prince-Likes the slop, but raced a big last 1/2 in the goo, likes to win so will respect even from #9 post.

Race 9

7-Marion Gondolier-Nice effort on 10/13 in lone Big M start, will use and hope for a good trip.
8-Mayfair Johnny B-Versatile 4-yr-old can win on a big track and grind it out. LT mark-1:52.4 in '18 at HoP.

Race 10

1-Western Exposure-Last line was better than it looks, maybe a more aggressive try is coming in 3rd LT start.
3-In Rock We Trust-Tuned up with a .56 back half in qualifier, could win in 1st start off the bench.
6-Speed To Market-Comes off a sick scratch but 10/20 effort was sharp, player if ready.
7-Bombay Hanover-Staked in Ohio and has been racing from the back, if pace is quick can pop at a square price.

0.50 Pick 4
1,5,6/4,5,6,9/7,8/1,3,6,7
Total Bet=$48
