Nov 10: Meadowlands Pick 4 Analysis

by Al Cimaglia

November 10, 2018

Tonight's co-features at the Meadowlands are the Garden Stakes. Six freshmen colts and geldings will roll in Race 1 seeking a share of a $50,000 purse. In Race 3, seven 2-year-old fillies will take the stage to battle over a $55,000 purse. The 0.50 Pick 4 with a $50,000 guaranteed pool begins in Race 8 and it will be my focus.

Last night at the Big M, Andrew McCarthy was the driver with the hottest hands bringing home three winners. The top trainer on the card was Eric Abbatiello with two trips to the winner's circle.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 8
1-Express Stride N-55.2 back half wasn't good enough in last, McCarthy should get a smoother trip tonight.
4-K Ryan Bluechip-Raced from the back and fell short, looking for an aggressive effort from the start tonight.
7-McThriller-Rolled home off a perfect trip, could be tougher this time but is in form and best to respect.

Race 9
3-Santiago Style-Will toss last, gets a positive driver change and a better post, best can beat this crew.
4-Rock The Nite-Not a good journey in last, could leave and get on the engine tonight.
5-Bullet Bob-Set a hot pace last week and couldn't hang on, moves in a couple of spots and might be tighter.

Race 10
2-Charmbo Curiosity-Zeron takes a seat and that should help, likes to roll late and is 10-1 in the ML.
3-Western Toro-Does likes to win and is in form, may get the top and not look back.
7-Pumped Up Kicks-3rd start for new trainer and last two were good, shot at a square price.

Race 11
3-Grand Theft-Drops to a better spot and gets post relief. This is a soft field, no excuses allowed.
9-Oh My Joepa-10-yr-old knows how to win, if MacDonald can work a trip it could be picture time.

0.50 Pick 4
1,4,7/3,4,5/2,3,7/3,9
Total Bet=$27
