Tonight, Northfield Park has an Early Pick 4 starting in Race 7 and a Late Pick 4 beginning in Race 11, both have a $10,000 guaranteed pool. The feature on the 15-race card rolls in Race 5, non-winners of $5,000 in last four starts with a $10,500 purse.

On Saturday at Northfield the driver with the hottest hands was Aaron Merriman with six winners. With a victory in Race 12, Merriman became the first driver to record 1,000-win seasons in back-to-back years. That is an incredible accomplishment as in 2017 Merriman's win total was 1,095. The top conditioner on the night was Kody Massey with three trips to the winner's circle.

Race 11 
2-Toneka-Lightly raced 5-yr-old deserves consideration coming off a nice win. 
3-Freddy B Quick-Tough journey from 8-hole in last but effort was good, race back to 11/7 might be good enough. 
6-Bad Load-(P) driver races from back, if steers more aggressively could surprise at a square price. 

Race 12 
1-Canthelpbutwin-Interesting price shot with a Chicago connection, could save ground and roll by late. 
3-It's A Good Thing-12-yr-old won and was claimed, may stay good for a while and handle hike. 
9-Wilbur's Z Tam-6/5 chalk has been dominant in last 2 but the 9-hole has a way of causing problems. 

Race 13 
4-Benns Clearout-Decent effort from 9-hole after being off 17 days, A. Merriman sticks and 9-yr-old fits. 
8-Thanks For Playin-Rough trip in 1st Nfld start, loses Merriman but will include 5-time winner over others. 

Race 14 
1-Mcjagersonthemove-Big drop to level of past success, positive driver change but off 20 days. 
3-Sure Fired Bet-Steps up after a good effort off a rough trip from 8-hole, A. Merriman sticks and will be bet. 
5-Barley Up-7/5 chalk is a speedy sort. but I can't fully trust, drops after trouble beating better at DTN and HoP.
