Mohawk Park has a 10-race card on tap for tonight. The feature rolls in Race 8, a Preferred Trot with a $34,000 purse. The 0.20 Pick 5 with the usual $50,000 guaranteed pool starts the action and will be my focus. 

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track. 

Race 1 

2-Streamsong-Closed after a quick middle half in last, this is a better spot but needs to get into gear sooner. 
4-Touchdown AS-Raced 3rd Friday, usually won't play a quick return angle but will use versus this bunch. 
6-Hetties Commander-Stayed flat at same class and won, will respect chances for an encore against similar. 
8-Blameitonthewhisky-Drops, comes back in 6 days and McNair sticks, using in an open race. 

Race 2 

3-What Chapter-Major player at this class and should have his way against this crew. 
6-Fly Behind-Just missed in last, usually hangs around the money and will use just in case #3 has an off-night. 

Race 3 

4-Heather Loves NY-In sharp form at RidC and has won here in the past, tonight McNair takes a seat. 
5-Bid Writer-3-1 in the ML with Roy-Moreau combo, will respect connections in a shallow field. 
7-Lo Hold A Moonbeam-ML chalk has had trouble closing the deal but has gate speed and could control race. 

Race 4 

4-Y C Easy-Steps up after drawing off by >7 lengths, now joins Moreau barn, should have best chance to beat #9. 
9-Lyons Hedgeabet-Broke maiden last time in Harvester Final, anything close should be good enough for win #2. 

Race 5 

1-Wild And Crazy Guy-Gets needed post relief and best effort should put 7-year-old in the hunt. 
2-Manofmanyimages-Dropped and popped from 9-hole, moves up but will respect from this post. 
5-Major Muscle-Drops to a better spot and if fires best shot could win at a square price. 
6-O Narutac Perfetto-4th start off the bench for McClure-Nixon, could be sitting on a big try. 
7-Veyron-This is a spot to shine, JMac can stalk and sweep by versus this field.
