HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The opening-day program of the 2018-2019 Championship Meet at Gulfstream Park Saturday will feature $200,000 pool guarantees for both the Late Pick 4 and the Late Pick 5, as well as a $50,000 guaranteed pool for the 20-cent Rainbow 6.

The Late Pick 4 (Races 8-11), the Late Pick 5 (Races 7-11) and the Rainbow 6 (Races 6-11) will offer all-stakes sequences with fields ranging from 12 to 14 horses on an 11-race card that will feature the $1.1 million nine-race Claiming Crown.

Saturday’s program, which will get underway at 11:50 a.m., drew a total of 149 horses, or 13.5 starters per race.

The $200,000 Jewel will anchor all three multi-race wagers. The 1 1/8-mile stakes for horses that have started for a claiming price of $35,000 or lower attracted a field of 14, including defending champion Flowers for Lisa.
