It's Adios Day at The Meadows and Race 1 kicks-off at 12:00 EST. The headliner will roll in Race 11-the $400,000 Delvin Miller Adios Pace for 3-year-olds. Two of harness racing premier stars, Fear The Dragon and Huntsville will square off along with seven other talented pacers.

Last night at Hawthorne my posted Late Pick 4 ticket went sour early and was good in only three of four legs. The .50 Pick 4 (4/1/9/7), paid $164.60.

This afternoon my focus will be on the four stake races below. Comments and selections are based on a fast track.

Race 4-JAMES MANDERINO-ARDEN DOWNS-3-YEAR-OLD COLT & GELDING TROT-$45,000
6-Andy M-High % trainer and looking for a big effort at a square price. Should be a major player if minds manners.
5-Frankie Mullins-11 of 14 in the money and now faces a bigger challenge. Tetrick should give 3-year-old a chance to shine.
3-Moonshiner Hanover-Program chalk is lightly raced but very consistent. Merriman will go between the pipes today.

Race 9-QUINTON PATTERSON ADIOO VOLO-3-YEAR-OLD FILLY PACE-$62,475
3-Glassine Hanover-Sizzled a 54.1 2nd half coming off a sick scratch. Could be sitting on a big try and is 8-1 in the ML.
4-Perplexed-Coming off 2 sharp efforts, now gets a favorable post draw and could be in line for a great trip at 6-1 in ML.
5- Colorful Jasmine-East coast invader is razor sharp and very consistent. Another value play in a very good betting race.

3-Freakonomics-Has a post edge on 2 chalks, Tetrick takes a spin and should be a square price.
4-Brazuca-Back to a smaller oval where filly does best work. Should be sitting on lead or close to it from start to finish.
7-Bettor's Up-Here's a fine filly and program chalk. Best can win but hasn't raced since 7/1, so will look for some value.

Race 11-DELVIN MILLER ADIOS-3-YEAR-OLD OPEN PACE -$400,000
3-Fear The Dragon-Has had a good luck versus #4 so will give slight edge in what should be a great race.
4-Huntsville-Not much more can be said, may look awkward doing it but is as fast as a sports car.
7-Miso Fast-Very nice colt who could hit the board at long odds if Kakaley provides a good trip.
8-Blood Line-Strong connections and has very good gate speed. If minds manners can pump up the trifecta.
