Sunday night's Hawthorne card will feature a .50 Late Pick 4 sequence with a $25,000 guaranteed pool. The headliner will roll in Race 8, a conditioned pace for fillies and mares with a $9,900 purse. Last night, Tim Curtin and Ridge Warren each had two wins, which was best amongst all drivers.

Hambo Day at the Big M was very entertaining and my top selections were winners in five of ten stake races. Congratulations go out to the connections of Perfect Spirit who won the 92nd running of the Hambletonian. The actual race winner was What The Hill, but was taken down for interfering with Guardian Angel As in the stretch. So, Perfect Spirit became the first winner by disqualification in Hambletonian history. My Hambo choice Long Tom, was cruising along on top in his elimination, but then broke stride at the top of the stretch.

Race 6
2-Sagebrush Sid-Steps up after an overdue win. Will need best but will respect from the inside with Leonard.
7-Black Cotton-Parlayed a perfect trip for a win in last. Oosting could work another up-front journey.
8-Bigger N Better-Came the last 1/2 in 56.3 but was too far back. If pace is quicker could fly by late.

Race 7
7-Do You Dare-Steps up after winning 3 of last 4, program chalk fits well here.
8-Sagebrush Sue-Has been battling #7 and with right trip could score an upset.
10-Oh Josephine-Camera shy 3-year-old could trip out behind #7-#8. Not Leonard's choice but won't dismiss.

Race 8
5-Lk's Nancy Lee-Seems to find ways to lose but against this group will need to consider.
6-Fabulous Five-Wilfong's choice and 3-year-old has been racing well. Could take a photo will best effort.
8-Mimosa Party-Last raced here on 6/25 vs better, then went out East. Tuned up at PcD on 8/2, will be tough if ready.

Race 9
2-Wildcat Hilton-Sick scratch on 7/30, his race to lose if ready.
4-Citizen Kane-Last was better and with right trip could be heard from.
8-PL Jalapeno-Won at this level in last and now post provides value. Will consider for a repeat performance.
