Hawthorne's Saturday card will feature a $20,000 guaranteed pool for the Late 0.50 Pick 4 sequence which begins in Race 6. The hottest hands last night belonged to driver Ridge Warren who had three winners. Warren, actually had a natural hat trick winning three races in a row.

On Friday at Mohawk my Pick 4 ticket failed but my key horse in the Dan Patch, Check Six won and paid a healthy $13.40. The exacta with All Bets Off, the morning line favorite, paid off in gift like fashion returning $72.40 on a $2 wager. Freeky Feet Pete, the home town favorite took a lot of action and went off at 3-1. Casie Coleman's McWicked was also bet down hard, and finshed fourth going off as the 2-1 chalk. That betting action helped to make the two program favorites overlays. Freaky Feet Pete finished off the board boosting the superfecta payout. The winning combo of 9-2-7-3 paid $175.70 on a 0.10 wager.

1-MT Gunslinger-Raced well in last but was off 20 days. 2-year old comes back in 7 days and should be a major player.
5-Strait Rate-Beaten favorite deserves another chance and could offer some value.
6-Foundmytreasure-Camera shy but likes to compete, best to not overlook versus this field.

Race 7
1-Just Plain Crazy-Likes this oval and has been a consistently in the money. 30-1 in the morning line and worth a swing.
2-Coco's Dream-Was sharp as a tack until breaking in last. If minds manners should be in the hunt, especially from this post.
8-Lindy's On Fire-Program chalk made it look easy in last from the 2 hole. Will respect, but this won't be as easy.

Race 8
1-Alabamashakey-6-time winner has been finding ways to lose. Could be sitting on a big try.
3-Ashlee's Fine Lady-Drops and fits well versus this crew. On 6/17 won a NW$3000, should be a factor tonight.
8-Triple Lane Melody-Takes a big drop and is another who should like the company.

Race 9
3-Wordlydoll-Goes from Allard barn out East to the Ode barn, this has caught my eye. Taking a swing at a square price.
6-Cheekie-Steps up off a win, thinking this 5-year old mare is going to stay good and can handle the rise.
7-Dali Treasure-Has been stuck outside and can't close fast enough. Thinking Husted will be more aggressive off the gate.
