MIAMI GARDENS, FL – For the second day in a row, there were no tickets with all five winners of the Late Pick 5 at Gulfstream Park West Monday, producing a double carryover of $163,572.30 for Thursday’s program.
There was a carryover of $31,618.53 when Late Pick 5 betting started Monday, when $206,987 was bet into the multi-race wager that spanned Race 5-9.
Tickets will four of five winners were each worth $2,404.05.
The Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 11th consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park West, producing a $127,086.93 carryover jackpot for Thursday’s program.
Rainbow 6 tickets with five out of six winners were each worth $3,600.86.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 was solved at Gulfstream Park for a $2.2 million jackpot Sept. 27 after going unsolved for 47 consecutive racing days.
The Rainbow 6 will span Races 3-8, while the Late Pick 5 will span Races 4-8 on Thursday’s card.
There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $1,109.50 heading into Thursday’s card.
First-time starter Irish Expectations lit up the tote board in Race 9, paying $142.60 for a $2 win ticket and creating a double Late Pick 5 carryover for Thursday’s program,. Irish Expectations keyed a 10-11-4 trifecta that returned $52,335.60 for a 50-cent bet.
