Headlines

Add jockey Feargal Lynch to the injured list that already included leading jockey Sheldon Russell. Lynch will be out 4-6 weeks with neck/back fractures. A carryover just under $7,000 welcomes horseplayers back in the Rainbow 6 jackpot this week. Potential Preakness contenders could be in action this week in Saturday’s Travers Stakes at Saratoga and Sunday’s Ellis Park Derby.

The Stronach 5 paid $5565.30 on July 31 despite no winners over 4-1 odds in the sequence. The Stronach 5 for August 7 will be comprised of the following races (all times Eastern):

Leg C – Laurel Park Race 7 with an approximate post time of 3:59
Leg D – Gulfstream Park Race 9 with an approximate post time of 4:14
