Saturday's Mohawk card will begin with two elimination races for 3-year old trotting colts to determine the ten entries for next weekend's $684,000 Canadian Trotting Classic Final. In the third and sixth races 3-year old trotting fillies will square off to set the ten entries for the $385,000 ElegantImage Final. Grand Circuit action will also be part of tonight's action as in Race 5 the $162,838 Simcoe Open Pace will take center stage.

Last night the posted Late Pick 4 ticket was clicking until the third leg. For those who like to play the Jackpot High-5, the pool at Hawthorne is now up to $145,055. 1 - Bill's Man - No shot from 11 hole in last, look for a rebound in this spot.

5 - Victor Gio - Usually competes to the wire and with the right trip can take a picture. 

Race 2 - Canadian Trotting Classic Elims

4 - International Moni - Program favorite deserves the status and best effort will be tough to beat.

2 - Long Tom - Tetrick's back and knows him well, with a flat mile has best chance to down the ML favorite.

5 - Dover Dan - Comes off a sharp win and has a good starting spot to make presence felt.

Race 3 - Elegantimage Elims

8 - Ariana G - Winner of 16 of 20 lifetime starts and if the track is fast should make it 17 for 21.

2 - On A Sunny Day - Very nice filly is ultra-consistent and Filion should have in position to battle #8 to the wire.

5 - The Erm - Roy steers and will respect chances to add some pop to the ticket.

Race 5 - Simcoe

6 - Nascar Seelster - Looking for a price, has gate speed and race could set up nicely with an upfront seat.

2 - Some Attitude - Miller can work a good trip from this spot and hit the ticket at a square price.

7 - Classic Pro - Has had a big year but could be tailing off, still will respect connections.

Race 6 - Elegantimage Elims

1 - Dream Together - Has gate speed to control pace or be in great striking position. Dube back and gets along well.

6 - That's All Moni - Program favorite can wear down the speed and sweep by late if gets the right trip.

7 - Feed Your Head - Camera shy this year but can be in the hunt and should hit the board.
