There are 14-races scheduled at Dayton Raceway this evening. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 begins in Race 6 and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Big Bad Arcster (8-1)-Was used hard from the 8-hole last time and faded. Was bet and that was the most aggressive drive in a while. Noble steers again and camera shy 6-year-old should be a good price.
2-Rojan's Way (9/2)-Raced well last week from post 10 and that was the 2nd start off a sick scratch. Drops and could get a nice trip at a square price.
6-Zeke (6-1)-Drops and should be a factor at this level. DTN record is a poor 1-20 but will use instead of the program chalk #5 who went off at 1-2 last time. The morning line favorite seeks 4th straight win and meets 4 new foes tonight.

Race 7

1-Nicol Shard N (6-1)-Took the long way around on 9/25 at this class and finished a close 3rd at 34-1. Now Tyler Smith takes a seat and that is a positive driver change. Has 2 wins in 8 starts here and could be a main player with a trip.
2-McMoe (5/2)-Took a picture last week in 2nd start at DTN and that was coming off a break in the previous start. Has taken 4 pictures in 17 starts this year, Miller should have in play and an encore is within reach.

Race 8

6-Cassius Lane (9/2) -Passed foes down the lane to finished 3rd in a needed start. Rucker trainee has been in the money in 3 of 4 races here with 1 win. Looking to be beat the program chalk #3 and will take a swing at a solid price.
7-Refined (4-1)-Is a perfect 1-1 at DTN and seeks 2nd straight win. The Morgan barn is rolling along at a 27%-win clip in last 30 days. This post makes it more of a challenge and should help the price.

Race 9

1-R Bazingga (5/2)-Makes 1st start for the Morgan barn and comes off a win. Figures to be in the mix but has skipped a week and is back in at the same tag.
2-Norm At Work (9/2)-Six-year-old made its debut at DTN last week and rallied after parked and racing wide. Moves in a couple of spots and could be better tonight after a start on the track.
5-Little Woody (8-1)-Was stung a bit off the gate and raced evenly in last start to finished 3rd. Gets a ++ driver change in Page who has won with him in the past. Has finished in the money 10 times in 21 starts here with 3 wins.
