The Stronach 5 was not offered last week due to Oct. 2 cancellation of racing at Golden Gate Fields. The wager paid $5,248.90 2 weeks ago to 26 winning tickets with no winner over 6-1 odds. The Oct. 9 Stronach 5 will be comprised of the following races (beginning at 3:58 pm Eastern):

--Trainer Mark Glatt posted a 6: 3-2-1 mark that didn’t miss a beat while all 6 starters were bet to 7-2 or less odds. Glatt was 2-for-2 teamed with jockey Abel Cedillo.
--Trainer Manuel Ortiz Sr. went 2-for-3 in limited bids and posted $7 and $16 winners on the dirt. The barn was 0-for-12 at Santa Anita in 2020 before the recent run.
