Harness Highlights: Gingras Pads Earnings in Mohawk Stakes

Yannick Gingras, the third-leading money-earning driver in North America this year, padded his $7.2 million listing with three noteworthy victories at Mohawk this past week. Gingras guided Hannelore Hanover to her 31st win in a $40,000 elimination of the Maple Leaf Trot and he will be back in the bike for trainer Ron Burke in this Saturday's C$593,000 finals. Mambo Lindy (Tim Tetrick) sprung a 26-1 upset in the other division, leaving defending champion Resolve and last year's Triple Crown winner Marion Marauder behind. Gingras returned to Mohawk Monday night and piloted Jimmy Takter-trained 2-year-olds Manchego and Maxus to victory in their respective elimination heats for the finals of the C$375,000 Peaceful Way Stakes and C$400,000 William Wellwood Memorial. Manchego is now 7-for-7 to start his career.
