All eyes should be on Mohawk's card tonight as over $2.1 million in purses will be up for grabs. The fields are deep and if the weather man is correct the track should be lightning fast.

Last night at Hawthorne my posted Late Pick 4 ticket was good in only three of four legs. The lone blemish was in Race 11 when Ryan Anderson and Major Legacy rolled home and paid $56.60. That longshot keyed a (5/8/4/3,5) $608.45 payout on a 0.50 wager. For those who enjoy exacta wagering, the selections were useful in identifying a $101.00, (8-4) combination in Race 10.

Race 2-Metro Elimination-Purse $40,000
5-Pedro Hanover-Having a big season and ML 8/5 shot is the one to beat.
1-Phil The Thrill-Gets post relief and should be a square price, looks like a use in exotics.
8-Declan Seelster-Poor post could mean Jamieson will look to be more reserved, and be content with a top 4 finish.

Race 3-ElegantImage Final-3-year-old trotting fillies-Purse $385,000
4-Ariana G-This lady is the champ, likes the track and should make it 18 of 21.
8-Feed Your Head-Roy takes Takter's 2nd string and is a good exacta possibility.
3-Dream Together-Should get away well and could get a 2-hole trip behind #4 and hit the ticket

Race 4-Metro Elimination-Purse $40,000
2-Stay Hungry-2 for 2 lifetime and program favorite rates a slight edge.
4-Shadow Moon-This is a fine colt and ultra-consistent. It's difficult to split #2 and #4, trip may be the difference.
8-Summer Travel-Comes off a couple of scratches and thinking this will be a measured effort.

Race 5-Canadian Trotting Classic Final-3-year-old Open-Purse $684,000
2-Bills Man-Callahan's choice was impressive in last and can repeat with a decent journey.
7-Long Tom-Wasn't used aggressively in last, this time should be coming with more vigor and will be in the hunt.
3-Dover Dan-#2's stablemate is sharp and could easily be in front at the wire, best to respect.

Race 6-Metro Elimination-Purse $40,000
4-Babes Dig Me-Flew home in 53.2 but was too far back in a slow pace. Should be handled differently, big shot tonight.
6-Trump That-Has had seconditis and can see same happening here, but will respect chances for better.
1-Burn Out Hanover-Wouldn't be shocked by a higher finish as this post suits perfectly.

Race 7-Milton Pace Final-fillies & mares-Purse $256,000
3-Pure Country-On a roll and driver knows the track really well. Rates the edge in what looks to be a great race.
1-Lady Shadow-Gave way late and that isn't typical. Will respect chances for a rebound from the rail.
5-LA Delight-Last was better and lasix might be kicking in. Looking for 1st win of '17, will use and should be a square price.

Race 9-Maple Leaf Trot Final-Purse $593,000
4-Mambo Lindy-Scott Zeron takes a seat and it shouldn't hurt. Last was super sharp at 26-1 and will look for another upset.
5-Hannelore Hanover-Big-time mare will likely be tough to beat. No surprise to see her posing for another picture.
3-Pasithea Face S-Looking for a more aggressive try tonight and best effort will put her in the mix.
