PRINCE JAMES won a 3-way duel for the lead, sprinted clear in early stretch and got caught by the troubled, odds-on favorite in an improved try for a sharp outfit. His stablemate, REVENGER, dueled with the 1-to-2 winner through the final turn before fading at 6F cut could carry his speed a long way. GENTLEMAN JOE emerged from a 4-way battle with a backstretch lead, held second to a Todd Pletcher-trained favorite and projects a good stalking trip on the cutback to one turn. SILENT MALICE, 11/2-5-3 at Laurel Park, will be running late at a good price if the pace falls apart.    

LEG B // GULFSTREAM PARK, RACE 7 (4:12PM ET) // OPTIONAL CLAIMING // 1 MILE (TURF) 

WHATMAKESSAMMYRUN is good enough to overcome a difficult post in his seasonal debut. He romped the first time he ran on turf, ran third in a follow-up stakes race and was last seen finishing a troubled second to eventual Grade 3-placed dirt router Tarantino. In that race, he rallied in tandem with the winner but lost momentum late on the final turn, offsetting his late surge in the closing yards.

LEG C // LAUREL PARK, RACE 9 (4:29PM ET) // CLAIMING // 7 FURLONGS (DIRT) 

Morning-line favorite COMPANY CLOWN was beaten by a combined 35-1/2 lengths in his last two starts and draws post 11, while 5-1 second choice EL ROJO is 0-22 at Laurel Park. Go deep in this leg of the ticket.

LEG D // SANTA ANITA PARK, RACE 3 (4:35PM ET) // OPTIONAL CLAIMING // 6 1/2 FURLONGS (TURF) 

DANCING DANA has speed, gets Lasix, offers value and is by proven turf sire Clubhouse Ride. DISKO FEVER awakened on the turf after a sub-par debut on the dirt. She took some play off a double-digit, morning-line price and cruised to an easy victory, earning favoritism in this spot.

LEG E // GOLDEN GATE FIELDS, RACE 2 (4:53PM ET) // MAIDEN CLAIMING // 5 FURLONGS (ALL WEATHER) 

WILDLY DRAMATIC pressed the 5-2 winner as a debut favorite and held second in the fastest of a three-way split race. She can control throughout as today's solo play in the Stronach 5.
