HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot swelled to $3,436,336.25 for Friday’s card at Gulfstream Park when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 37th consecutive program Thursday.
Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $52,999.60.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The carryover jackpot pool going into Thursday’s six-race sequence (Races 6-11) was $3,285,968.85, producing a Rainbow 6 handle of $626,652.
The Rainbow 6 was last solved on Dec. 7, when a lucky ticketholder cashed for a $98,309.32 jackpot payoff.
There were no tickets with all five winners in Thursday’s Late Pick 5 (Races 7-11), resulting in a $100,936.31 carryover for Friday’s five-race sequence (Races 7-11).
Who’s Hot: Jose Ortiz scored back-to-back triumphs with Proud O’Paddy ($6.20) and Jorrin ($5) in Races 5 and 6. Miguel Vasquez also notched back-to-back wins with Starship Tribbles ($33.20) and Amaluna ($10.60) in Races 9 and 10.
Emisael Jaramillo doubled with Tomater Gator ($5) in Race 2 and Entangled ($4.80) in Race 7.
