A back-to-back winner at Oaklawn in wire-to-wire fashion, Warrior’s Charge will be making his first stakes attempt in the Preakness. Less heralded than stablemate Owendale, the Grade 3 Lexington winner, he will compliment that one’s style with an early-late combo for trainer Brad Cox. Champion jockey Javier Castellano, winner of the 2006 Preakness aboard Bernardini and again in 2017 with Cloud Computing, picks up the mount. His owners must fork over $150,000 in supplemental fees to compete in the Preakness as Warrior’s Charge was not nominated to the Triple Crown.
