The feature at Cal Expo rolls in Race 7, the Dave Goldschmidt Free For All Pace with a $10,000 purse. The 0.20 Pick 4 starts in Race 6. The sequence has a $25,000 guaranteed pool with a 16% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Race 6

3-Queenace Blue Chip (2-1)-This Plested trainee was aggressively driven in last and although not holding the lead did finish the mile nicely. Looks logical in this spot in what appears to be a chalky race.
6-Artspire (7/5)-Comes off a nice win versus this crew. Roland sat back and used one big brush to roll by down the lane. Looks to be a player again and shouldn't offer any value.

Race 7

1-Allmyx'sliventexas (4-1)-This is my pick if anyone can down the morning line choice and could be a fair price. Looking for this 8-year-old to be dialed on high and the stretch duel should be interesting.
4-A Major Omen (7/5)-Has been battling better in Kentucky and on the east coast. This 5-year-old makes its CalX debut for team Longo and likes to win. Has 14 wins in 60 lifetime starts and 13 pictures have come in the last 2 years. Might be bet down off the morning line.

Race 8

1-Cowboys Dirtyboots (4-1)-Drops to a spot to shine and this post draw should help. Does good working racing near the top of the stack and Svendsen should have this veteran forwardly placed.
5-Gorgeous For Real (5/2)-Will lean here with Lackey's choice over #1. Had a rough trip on 11-28 in the 1st start of the meet. Tuned up with a 12-5 qualifier, drops and has won 15 of 57 at CalX.

Race 9

5-Helen's Girl (7/5)-Looks like a major player versus this crew at a tiny price. Anyone interested saw how she was caught inside and had plenty of pace when clear but couldn't catch the winner in last. Only caution is she looked a bit rough around the last turn. But Roland will be steering here and would be tough to leave off the ticket.
7-Dancinonthesand (6-1)-This mare is only 2 for the last 39 spanning 2020-2021, but has won 10 of 44 at CalX. Plested trainee will be making the 3rd start of the meet and this will be only the 3rd race since mid-September. Looking for a big try at a solid price.
