Al Cimaglia: Pompano Park Pick 4 Analysis | Monday, February 14, 2022

The big Monday night card at Pompano Park features 13 races. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 10. The sequence has a 12% takeout with a $15,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 10

6-Warrawee Victor (3-1)-Comes off even efforts versus $8k claimers. Drops, should relish the company, and could capture its 1st Pompano win (0-9).
7-Creighton Hanover (2-1)-Beat this kind from post 6 on 1-31 with Miller in the bike. May look to leave to get the top like in last and not look back.

Race 11

1-Hot Art (6-1)-This veteran drops and from this post should be dialed on high. Best to respect and could be overlooked at the windows.
2-Island Beach Boy (5/2)-Has just missed in the last 2 at this class and now draws inside. This was Hennessey's pick over the 3 and 6.
4-Dakota Jack (5-1)-This 9-year-old does good work racing near the top of the stack and Miller should be able to work that type of trip.
8-Sgt Papa Daddy (5-1)-Should offer a nice price and has the gate speed to get a good early seat. Drops into a more comfortable spot and knows his way to the PPk winner's circle.

Race 12

4-Loyal Fox Hanover (2-1)-Drops and Hennessey gets the assignment, and he knows well. An aggressive steer could be coming, and this pilot will look to steal a quarter.
5-Joey Pro (5-1)-Bumps up after a nice win from the 8 hole. Boyd is back in the bike and if he works an efficient trip another picture isn't out of the question.
8-Credit List (12-1)-Will take a swing that this 7-year-old's Pomp debut is a winning one and should fit with this crew. Has shown good gate speed at Vernon and the qualifier here in the slop on 2-8 was a good one.

Race 13

2-Peter Dalt (8-1)-Peter gets some needed class relief and has done good work versus this kind. Likes the Pomp hitting the board in 15 of 20 starts with 6 wins.
3-Another Daily Copy (5-1)-Will need its best to win at this class but gets a favorable post draw to race on or near the lead. Chindano should have in play from the word "go".
6-Agedchedar Hanover (9/2)-Beat Open III company last week and shouldn't be out of place with this group. Could be in the hunt at a fair price with a sharp steer.
