Hoosier Park has 13-races scheduled for this evening. The headliners are Indiana breds in Sires Stakes action. The 0.50 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 10, and the sequence will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 10

3-I Know My Chip (3-1)-This ten-year-old can dial it up from time to time and has beaten better than this in June. This is a soft spot, the trainer hands the lines to Widger, and he steered in the last win.
5-Toy's For You (5/2)-Team Plano trainee lands in a good spot. Should relish the company and may get the top and not look back.

Race 11

1-Trick Of The Light (3/5)-Brown trainee has hit the board in 12 of 15 at HoP and has no excuse losing to this crew. Tetrick should be headed for the top and the battle appears to be for 2nd place.

Race 12

1-Ponda Express (8/5)-Trotted the 2nd half in .57 but was too far back to catch the leaders. Slow starts have been a big issue but this colt may have met a field where it won't matter.
4-Major Hot Rod (7/2)-Tries hopples for the 2nd time and if the one above has an off-night Widger should have this Chris Beaver pupil in striking range.

Race 13

3-Jb'S Shooting Star (12-1)-Will look for a price in a chalky sequence and this mare runs hot and cold. But draws well, fits, and could benefit from an efficient trip.
7-Western Sierra (7/2)-Drops to a spot to shine and Bates is between the pipes for his 2nd consecutive steer. Has the speed to beat this crew. Could blast out and make every call a winning one.
