Yonkers Raceway has a 10-race card scheduled. The feature comes in Race 8 when $100,000 claimers will battle for a $32,500 purse. The $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 7, and the sequence will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7

2-Ultimaroca (7/2)-This 4-year-old shows much better speed this year than last and has hit the board in 5 of 6 at YR with 3 wins. Hasn't raced here in a while and will respect chances tonight.
6-None Bettor A (9/2)-Tossing last versus Open company from the 7-hole. Bartlett will be in the bike tonight and he knows this veteran. It could be picture time if this 9-year-old comes back with the same performance as in the previous start which was at this class.
7-Pretty Handsome (8-1)-Steps-up after zipping home in 54.2 to win at 7-1. Bako trainee is versatile and could reward backers with another solid price.

Race 8

2-Air Force Hanover (6-1)-Raced well in last at this same class but was compromised by a tepid pace. This will be 3rd start since being claimed on 7-25 and hasn't missed the board for the new connections.
4-Barbados (2-1)-Beaten odds-on chalk deserves another chance. Couldn't catch the leader who was able to control the pace with a .58 first half. Basically, the same situation from the same race as the one above. Could be leaving and has the gate speed to land on the point. Last week's winner is stuck with post 8.

Race 9

1-Gardys Legacy A (3-1)-Takes a significant drop from $100k claimers and moves inside from post 7. This will be the 3rd consecutive race at YR and should enjoy the company.
3-Walkinshaw N (5-1)-This 10-year-old cashes checks, but the competition seems a bit tough and doesn't get the best of luck with post draws. Drops to the same class as his last win on 6-27 and with a sharp steer the same could happen here.

Race 10

2-Emotions Riches (5/2)-Drops out of the $75k claimers to the same level of a win on 7-13 and should offer a fair price. Chances improve if Kakaley can get off the gate and land in a close-up seat. Should offer more value than the program chalk below.
3-Bluebird Jesse (9/5)-Not feeling the 9/5 morning line although this isn't a deep group of winners. Using, as Bartlett sticks and should be on the engine or in the pocket.
