Fun in the Sun Tournament: Final Table Preview

by Xpressbet

August 28, 2023

A total of 27 players have made their way to Saturday’s Xpressbet Fun in the Sun final table, squaring off for a prize pool of $16,202.50. Five weekly leaders qualified among the six play-in rounds held in July and August, including dual qualifiers Gordon Maruya, Frank Nguyen and Paul Jannis. Competitors matched wits on races from Saratoga and Del Mar with 827 entries now whittled down to the final 30. This will be the fourth season with Fun in the Sun ending in the final table format.

Saturday’s final table players again will tackle the final five races at Saratoga and the first five races on the Del Mar card. The top five will cash out the $16,202.50 prize pool with 55% to the winner, 25% to the runner-up, 10% for the third-place finisher and 5% each to places fourth and fifth. Throughout the Fun in the Sun season, 100% of all contest fees have been returned to players in weekly and final table prize money.
