Race 1: The Argonaut Plate (12:30AM ET)

#3 Smiling Face was fair on debut when finishing runner-up in this grade last time. He can go one better here. #1 Chancheng Spring was third in the same race. With improvement he can challenge this bunch. #6 Super Ten steps out on debut. His trials have been solid and this appears suitable. #2 Sea Monarch is next best.

Race 2: Special Cargo Plate (1:00AM ET)

#1 Demon’s Rock is looking to snap a run of two second-place efforts. Although he is winless, he has found a competitive mark and appears capable of winning his way into Class 4 here. #8 Super Fun has largely been awful in Hong Kong, that is on a whole, but still he has shown glimpses of ability and if he piece any of this together then he is capable. #3 Grand Harbour mixes his form. He shouldn’t be too far away with Afrled Chan’s claim in use. #5 Pleasant guy will be thereabouts.

Race G3 Queen Mother Memorial Cup (Handicap) (1:30AM ET)

#2 Helene Leadingstar is searching for his third consecutive win. No reason to suggest he can’t get it here, especially as a proven G1 winner over 2500m back in Australia pre-import. #1 Eagle Way ran a blinder in last weekend’s QEII Cup. He can improve further here against a weaker bunch over 2400m. #5 Savvy Nine gets in light with just 114b to carry. He’s a French G1 winner who has given every indication that he can handle the step up in distance in Hong Kong. #4 Chefano is next best.

Race 4: Isle of Man Handicap (2:00AM ET)

#5 Dublin Star is looking to snap a run of three third place finishes. He’s consistent albeit costly and with even luck he’s going to get every chance again. #1 Split Of A Second turned his form around to grab second last start. He can figure with the right run off that performance. #6 Fabulous Eight turned his form around to finish third last start. The wide gate makes life hard but this isn’t overly difficult. #13 Here Comes Ted has shown glimpses of ability. Not sue when he’s going to put it all together but he definitely has the ability to do so.

Race 5: Brandy Snap Handicap (2:30AM ET)

#11 Amazing Knight was fair on debut at the Valley and he appears suited by the switch to Sha Tin on offer here. Joao Moreira takes the reins which suits and he appears the one to beat. The wide draw has beaten #3 Beauty Loyal his last two runs, though, in his favour is that’s he’s drawn gate five this time for Zac Purton. He should able to find himself in the right spot. #13 Chikorita trialled well prior to his debut but has since failed to fire on three occasions. Maybe he just needs a few runs to acclimatse because he does have ability. #2 Quadruple Double can figure with the right run. He bears close watching as a three-time course and distance winner this term.

Race 6 Manicou Handicap (3:00AM ET)

#4 Excel Delight is looking to snap a run of three runner-up efforts. He’s s clearly taken a liking to this course and distance and has proven that it’s only a matter of time before he does break through. #8 Splendid Timing has been consistent including his fair sixth last time out. He’s drawn ideally and a bold run is expected. #2 Goldie Flanker won well last time out and can figure with the right run again. #1 Dollar Reward is a two-time winner already this term. He’s capable.

Race 7: Norman Conqueror Handicap (3:35AM ET)

#5 Galactic has shown steady improvement across both outings. He’s clearly a talent on the rise and if he can put his best forward here, he can win. #8 Bulletproof grabbed a narrow fourth last start. With further improvement he can challenge these. #12 Enjoy Life gets in light following his fast-finishing runner-up last start. He can figure again with a similar run here. #3 Starship is next best.

Race 8: Insular Handicap (4:05AM ET)

#6 Enzemble snapped a frustrating run of placings last start with a win. He might be ready to go on with again after that performance and this contest appears more than suitable for him. #8 Defining Moment is looking for his third consecutive win. Suspect he still has a number of ratings points in hand and the inside gate is going to afford him every chance. #2 Champion Supreme loves this course and distance. This is right up his ally and he’s not going to be too far away. #1 Charity Go is consistent and warrants respect.

Race 9: Monaveen Handicap (4:35AM ET)

#9 Party Genius narrowly missed as one of the heavily supported favourites last time out. He’s shown he’s a talent on the rise and a win is clearly not too far away. Just, gate 12 does make things slightly trick here. #4 Golden Four has found a rich vein of form as a winner three starts ago and a narrow second at his latest. He’s drawn to get the right run and is worth keeping safe. #6 Sprint Forward won well four starts ago. He’s held his condition well and warrants respect for this. #12 Momentum Happy is next best.

Race 10: Game Spirit Handicap (5:10AM ET)

#2 Utopia Life led and won well last two starts ago. He’s racing well at present and chances are he tries the same again, which could, see him go on with it here. #10 Flying Sword makes his first start for Tony Cruz and gets the services of Zac Purton on for the first time. He’s been far from disgraced and this trainer jockey combination for the first time with him bears close watching. #3 Explosive Witness narrowly missed by a neck last time out. He’s acclimatised to Hong Kong well across six starts and it’s only a matter of time before he gets the job done, though, the only issue here is that it’s first time racing on the dirt. #7 Just Not Listening has placed second at his last two outings. He’s racing well and commands respect.

Race 11: Inch Arran Handicap (5:45AM ET)

# Private Rocket is unlucky not to have already won another race this season having gone close on several occasions. His consistency can reward him here. #3 Beauty Spirit is as solid as they come. He’s drawn to get the right run and this contest is well within his grade. #1 Racing Fighter is a trick customer but does get a welcome drop to Class 3. Sharp improvement is expected here. Everyone’s Joy is looking to back-to-back. Must respect.
