Lewis for the colts/geldings. The latter may feature Maryland Million Nursery winner Kenny Had a Notion … Jockey Yomar Ortiz missed Sunday’s card following body soreness after being unseated in Saturday’s Race 8, but is expected to return to the saddle Thursday … Trainer Hugh McMahon enters the week with 996 career victories approaching a milestone.

--Trainer Brittany Russell was nearly perfect at 5: 4-0-0 and sported a $2.28 ROI for every $1 bet. Husband Sheldon Russell rode 3 of the winners, Jevian Toledo the other. All 4 winners were 5-2 or less.
--Trainer Dale Capuano posted a 7: 4-1-1 record, each winner at 3-1 or less. Four different riders posted those wins, and note 2 of them came in dirt miles.
--Apprentice jockey Alexander Crispin has made a mark since arriving from Delaware Park, and last week went 15: 4-1-3
--Jockey Yomar Ortiz went 11: 4-0-0, and was 4-for-5 with horses bet to 5-2 or less odds. All 4 wins came in dirt races around 1 turn.
--Jockey Tais Lyapustina made the most of her limited mounts, going 4: 1-1-0 with a 23-1 longshot winner and 6-1 runner-up. Those 4 mounts averaged 33-1 odds as outsiders.
