The feature on the Tuesday card at Pompano Park rolls in Race 8, a fillies and mares Open Pace with an $11,000 purse. The 0.50 Pick 4 starts in Race 6. The sequence has a $20,000 guaranteed pool with a 12% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

3-Cenaltafirecracker (5/2)-Ten-year-old knows only 1-way to win. Hennessey will blast out and look to control the pace. This is a $5k claimer that will need the right trip to take a picture but has a pilot who gets a ton of respect and is the reason to use.
4-Dads Filly (7-1)-Looking for an aggressive drive and Sanzeri could land on the point. The question is whether he can steal a quarter or get a pocket ride. Either way the price should be right to take a swing.
6-Rock N Roll Rosie (5-1)-This is a scattered group and my move will be to play against the #5 who is the morning line 2nd chalk. Rosie is trip dependent but could surprise if the pace is hot and Ingraham finds some live cover.
7-Odds On Cheddar (9-1)-This 6-year-old isn't much different than #6 except Wallis is a better driver. The start of this race should be interesting and whoever gets the best trip may end up in the winner's circle.

Race 7

2-Samis Rolin Stone (9/2)-Is only 1-31 in 20-21 but seems to do best work with an inside post draw. This is a beatable group and could be overlooked at the windows.
3-Forgive Me Father (5-1)-Drops to a better level and has the gate speed to be put in play when the gate opens.
6-Fist Fighter (4-1)-Loses Hennessey but has had 2 consecutive good efforts. Should have enough gate speed for Ingraham to work a decent trip.
7-Sevenshotsobourbon (7-1)-Hennessey's choice is making the first start of the year. Faced tough freshmen last year out east and should be in the mix if dialed on high. Not sure that will be the case from this post, but tough to leave out versus this crew.

Race 8

4-Prairie Westerngal (3/2)-Gets a significant edge with this post draw. If Hennessey gets on the engine without burning much gas it could be difficult to reel her in. Usually is a main player at this class and tonight should be no different.
5-Casie's Believer (5/2)-Here's the 2021 money leader in this field and she has a big shot to post win #4 in 14 starts. Could get on the point but my guess is she lands in the pocket behind #4 and takes a big shot down the lane.

Race 9

5-Stick With Me Kid (9/5)-Steps-up after a nice win from post 8 and is looking for the 1st picture at this class since 2-15. Might be able to seal the deal tonight, should have no problem taking control in what looks like a 2-horse race.
6-The Lionking As (2-1)-Won last week at this class off a pocket ride and may try the same here. Should offer more value than the program chalk and if lands in a good seat around the 1st turn, there could be an upset.
